Whereas: H.R. 1913, formerly known as Ted Kennedy's Thought Control, would criminalize free speech deemed by the government to be "hateful";

Whereas: nations such as Sweden and Canada, who already boast so-called "hate crimes" legislation, have fined and imprisoned Christians for expressing their religious convictions about homosexuality;

Whereas: Recent polls show that you will face a brutal reelection in 2010 due to your rapidly declining approval rating,

Therefore: I demand you listen to the voices of American families and keep H.R. 1913 from ever coming to a vote. Otherwise, we will ensure America's and Nevada's families rise up against you for turning your back on this nation.
