The Electoral College was designed by the Founding Fathers to guarantee that all states would have a voice in the election of our nation’s president.

The Constitution never prioritized a national popular vote, which favors the few over-populated states over the rights of all states.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact will force electors to give their votes to the winner of the national popular vote, and not to the candidate chosen by their respective state’s voters.

Any efforts to invalidate or abolish the Electoral College must be opposed by the Office of the President. The Department of Justice should file suit against the states that have passed the Popular Vote Compact.
